Hello dear friend,
I don’t often talk about money, but today, I want to share a special issue of Be Your Best Friend with Anangsha, that is centered around money.
But before we begin, did you know that as a young person, money isn’t your most valuable asset?
Time, energy, and mindset are your most valuable assets. The baby steps you take today towards financial freedom can make life so much easier and richer down the line.
Had zero student loans. The privilege of being born in India to parents with Government jobs took care of this.
Started traveling in college. This helped me find the cheapest deals on flights and hotels. I also looked for ways to milk universities to get me all-expenses-paid trips.
Budgeted every small decision. This helped me identify major drains on my money and find ways to reduce them or make them less guilt-inducing.
Started side hustles and explored ways to make money on the internet.
Explore recurring deposits to bring discipline to my spending and plan better for big expenses.
Watch this video for a detailed explanation of some of the most intelligent financial decisions I took in my early 20s and how they have compounded to make my life better today.
If you’ve recently started earning or are in college trying to make ends meet, this video is for you. Don’t forget to let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Hope you liked this week’s newsletter edition. Note that I create this newsletter for you every week with lots of love. If you’d like to support me, here’s a link to buy me a book.
If you found this letter useful, don’t forget to forward this to a friend or ask them to sign up for my newsletter. It’s free, and you know me, I only send valuable content.
That’s all from my end today. I’ll see you again soon. Till then, stay strong. Keep smiling and be awesome.
With love,
Anangsha.
