How does the first Monday of 2022 look like for you?
We all heard about Monday Blues. But First Monday of the Year Blues are much harder!
Hello dear friend
Mondays are never easy, but when we talk about tackling the first Monday of the year, things can get especially difficult.
Coming back to work after a long weekend of relaxing, eating too much, secretly dealing with hangovers, and the pang of saying goodbye to friends we know we won't be meeting for a while - obviously, the start of the year is going to be a bit slow.
But guess what, that's okay!
Yes, you have big plans, and yes, this year's going to be HUGE.
But this year has 365 days, and you don't have to achieve all your resolutions today.
Cut yourself some slack, and remember to breathe. It doesn't matter if your friends are already crushing their goals and achieving new year resolutions. It doesn't matter if self-help writers have started writing about how hard you need to hustle to make this year matter.
Every person has a different pace of going about life, and you are allowed to move ahead at your own pace. If you feel the year's had a slow start for you, that's OKAY.
You are allowed to rest, to take a step back, and to only think about the non-negotiables at work for as long as you need. The motivation to work hard might have fizzled, but it will come back in its own time. Until then, hold on, and remember to be kind to yourself.
There's only one of you, and you are irreplaceable. Never forget that.☺️
How does the first Monday of the year look like for you? Leave a reply to this email to me know.
I’d also love to know how your annual review went (refer to my previous email for more details on how to do a personal annual review and what you need to make the most of it).
As for me, my Monday is rather slow. I'm turning my computer on after five days, and everything feels alien right now! But I'm following my own advice and taking things slow.
Wish you all a very happy 2022.
In other news, I have some good news for all writers looking to make a decent income through Medium. I’m relaunching Project Medium, my flagship coaching program that has helped 20+ writers make more than $100 from Medium in their first few months.
If you’re already enrolled in the Medium Partner Program but haven’t been able to make decent money from it, this could be your chance to increase your earnings and develop a new income stream by writing about exactly what you want.
Note that I create this newsletter for you every week with lots of love. If you’d like to support me, here’s a link to buy me a book.
If you found this letter useful, don’t forget to forward this to a friend or ask them to sign up for my newsletter. It’s free, and you know me, I only send valuable content.
That’s all from my end today. I’ll see you again soon. Till then, stay strong. Keep smiling and be awesome.
With love,
Anangsha.
