I Hit 20k Followers on LinkedIn
7 tips to grow you LinkedIn audience and build a strong personal brand.
Hello dear friend,
I’ve been writing on LinkedIn since September 2021.
Since then, I’ve grown my following to 20,000 followers and attracted opportunities worth thousands of dollars. I have also been admitted into the first cohort of the LinkedIn Creator Accelerator Program in India.
Effectively, LinkedIn paid me for writing on their platform.
Recently, I crossed the 20k followers mark in less than 12 months.
Today, I want to share the seven most insightful lessons I learned in my journey to reaching this milestone. If you’re planning to get started on LinkedIn, here are seven tips to help you:
Niche down. Be as specific as you can. Hunt your ideal target audience like your life depends on it.
Have a recurring theme you keep repeating every week, fortnight, or month. That way, your audience knows what to expect from you and when. It also increases your brand recall value.
Find a community of creators, so you don’t have to be on this journey alone.
Experiment with different content forms to find the one that suits your audience the best.
Give the platform what it wants. Read the rules. Don’t make assumptions.
Be intentionally consistent and align your content strategy with your long-term vision.
Observe the trending topics, reverse engineer them, add your personal flavor, and apply them to your posts.
I have also made a detailed video explaining each of these points in detail. Watch on for some valuable takeaways, and don’t forget to let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Make sure to watch until the end for a special surprise.
