Hello dear friend
Let’s talk about pricing your work as a freelancer today, shall we?
When I landed my first freelance writing gig, I thought of keeping the price at 40 paise per word.
There wasn’t any rule governing this. I arbitrarily chose the number based on what a few minutes of research told me what the industry standard was.
When my friend asked me why I valued my product at such a low price, I told him, “No one would pay me more than 40ppw for this!”
Then, he asked me something that made me think.
“No one would pay you more than 40ppw? Or are you afraid of charging more than 40ppw?”
The truth in his words hit me hard.
I’m a believer in abundance and I know no matter what I sell or how I price it, there will definitely be people who will happily pay for it. All I have to do is define my target audience and work on attracting them.
Why was I so afraid of pricing my product higher and then working on finding the right people to sell it to?
This incident gave me a very important mindset shift I still swear by today: YOU ARE WORTH WHAT YOU LET YOURSELF BELIEVE.
As a freelancer, it gets hard to pick a rate for your work, especially when you're an absolute beginner. This is an aspect I'll cover in my 5-Day Live Training Program on how to become a Highly Paid Writer.
We'll also cover how to land high-paying deals, so you don't have to sell your soul for a few pennies. Only 5 days left, and the course is already more than 50% booked.
In addition to asking me all your questions LIVE, you’ll also be a part of a community of passionate writers where you’ll get lifelong edit support and answer to your queries.
It’s hard to be alone as a freelance writer, but with a strong community backing you up, we can all reach our goals faster.
Don’t forget to share this with your friends who dream of becoming a writer and have immense potential, but lack the guidance to start. Let’s end 2021 on a high and crush our goals in 2022!
Lots of love,
Anangsha
