More Than Money and Respect, This is What I'm Grateful For
The kind of happiness only money can buy.
Hello dear friend
The best gift I've given myself after becoming a full-time writer is the gift of time. And this beautiful new life, and Lucy, of course. But most of all, the gift of time.
This is because now that I don't have anyone telling me what to do so I can make money. I can work on my own terms, on my own time.
Today, I went on an evening walk with a friend and my dog, Lucy.
We didn't have any set time that we needed to come back by. We could spend as much time walking, admiring the beautiful flowers, and letting Lucy explore the world.
This walk without deadlines allowed us the time and space to be in the moment, to take in what we're seeing and feeling, and to just be, without the need to be somewhere else in 10 minutes.
I knew there was something missing in my heart when I was doing my Ph.D. and working on my previous job. I didn't know it was this sense of freedom.
So yes, when someone asks me what I'm the most grateful for, it isn't the respect or the money, it's this permission to be me without any deadlines tying me down.
What's something you're most grateful for in your life right now? Let me know by leaving a reply to this email.
I just launched a 5-Day Live Training Program to help writers who aren't sure how to take the first step in their writing journey but have potential and BIG dreams.
Do you know anyone who might benefit from this? If yes, please connect me with them. 🙂
With love as always,
