What I’m doing to make more money as a freelance writer in 2024
Upskilling as the world around me evolves is the key to staying afloat.
Hello dear friend
Whenever I tell people I’m a full-time writer, they get confused. There are so many aspects to writing, and no one’s sure what part pays well.
Well today, let me share a breakdown of how my monthly income looks like.
Averaged over the past six months,
45.7% comes from freelance clients
21.9% comes from selling my personal brand
16.2% comes from Medium Partner Program earnings
And the rest 16% is miscellaneous, which includes YouTube, digital product sales, direct consultations, etc.
As you can see, a major chunk of my monthly income comes from freelancing. In my 2.5 years of being a full-time writer, I’ve seen the biggest ROI from doing freelance work.
But with AI coming into the scene and the competition among writers getting tougher, how’s the world of freelancing changing? Is it still worthwhile to see it as a career option in 2024?
To answer these questions, I made a video sharing my insights on this. I’ve also discussed in detail the strategy I’m adopting to make more money as a freelance writer in 2024.
If you’re curious about freelancing, you can use this as a guide to start your journey and land your first client.
If you’ve been freelancing for a while and seen your growth stagnate, this video can serve as a wake-up call. You can adopt my strategies to make 2024 your highest earning year as a freelance writer.
