Hello from the middle of another chaotic but very interesting season of my life.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been writing, testing, recording, scripting, researching, and generally going down too many AI rabbit holes at once.
Some of it has been for client work, some for YouTube, and others for SEO experiments.
And some of it has simply been me trying to understand where content creation is going next.
So I wanted to send you a small roundup of what I’ve been publishing recently, what I’ve been working on behind the scenes, and how I’ve been doing personally.
What I’ve been writing recently
A lot of my recent writing has been around AI content creation, in the very practical “which tools actually help you make better content, faster?” way.

What I’ve been making on YouTube
YouTube has been taking up more space in my brain lately.
For a long time, I was mostly a writer. I still am, but I’m also realizing that video is becoming one of the best ways to test ideas in public.
Recently, I’ve been making videos around AI filmmaking, AI content workflows, and what it looks like to build entire creative systems with tools like Seedance 2.5.

The bigger theme I keep coming back to
The more I write and make videos, the more I realize my work is becoming less about “AI tools” and more about creative leverage.
I’m not interested in tools simply because they’re new. I’m interested in tools that help one person do the work of a small team.
A writer can now become a media company.
A solo creator can test video ideas without hiring a crew.
A founder can build content funnels without waiting for an agency.
A student can research, cite, rewrite, and edit faster, though not always better, unless they still think for themselves.
The most important part is: The internet is already full of AI-generated noise. The only thing that will stand out now is judgment, voice, personality, lived experience, and the ability to know what’s actually worth saying.
That’s the part I’m trying to get better at.
How I’ve been doing
Personally, I’ve been in a strange but good season.
I’ve been working a lot, but I’m also trying not to make work the only place where I feel useful. That’s been a recurring theme in my life lately.
For years, I thought the goal was work-life balance. Now I’m starting to think the real goal is to build a life where work is allowed to matter, but not allowed to become everything.
I’m building my company and my YouTube channel, writing for clients, and experimenting with SEO.
I’m also trying to travel more, to make friends, have a life, go to poker nights, train, move my body, and not turn every single side quest into a productivity project.
Some days I do this well.
Some days I absolutely do not.
But overall, I feel like I’m in one of those transition phases where the old version of my career is not fully gone, and the new version is not fully formed yet.
I’m still a writer.
But I’m also becoming a creator, founder, strategist, YouTuber, and someone who wants to build systems that can outlive one platform.
Medium changed my life once.
But I don’t want my entire life to depend on one platform again.
That’s partly why I’m taking Substack, YouTube, SEO, and my own website more seriously now. I want my work to have more places to live.

But I think the core thread is still the same: I’m trying to figure out how to build a creative life that gives me freedom.
